|
William E. Flanagan, of Claremore, Oklahoma, has served as President of the Board of Directors of Hope Harbor since 1995.
Flanagan received his B.S. degree in accounting from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where he also played on the football team. A certified public accountant, Flanagan owns his own public accounting firm in Claremore, where he and his wife Connie have worked for the last 25 years.
Other volunteer service includes membership on the Claremore Park Board of Directors. He formerly served as its chairman. The Park Board was voted the best park board in the U.S. in 1988. Flanagan has also served on the Claremore City Council. Flanagan is an active member of the Blue Star Church of Christ in Claremore. |

Sharon Milligan received a B.A. degree in English, and the B.S. and M.A. degree in Education, from Tulsa University. She is a state certified teacher and a certified reading specialist.
In 1974, Sharon began her affiliation with Hope Harbor as a volunteer tutor. She was employed as a teacher in 1979.
Early in her tenure with the Home, Sharon was instrumental in the creation of the Home's alternative school. She developed and implemented a unique curriculum for youth who have remedial education needs. Each trimester, students of the Home average a 2.5 grade level improvement in core subject matter. In 1990, Sharon was promoted to the position of Director of Education.
Milligan has been the featured speaker at numerous workshops and seminars on the subject of special needs education. |
