In-kind Gifts
Hope Harbor has always benefited from “in-kind” gifts, which simply means gifts other than money. Gifts of furniture, vehicles, and other items that could either be sold or used on campus have made a difference for this ministry for many years.
But now… the opportunities for making a difference through in-kind giving are truly incredible. Through Hope Harbor’s thrift store and recycling program, the range of donations that can make a difference has expanded almost beyond belief. Here are a few examples of donations that can make a difference:
- Vehicles. Whether we can use it on campus, or sell it to raise funds to do good works for children and families, your vehicle can make a difference.
- Clothing. Donations of clothing can be used for the young people at the Children’s Home, sold at the thrift store, or recycled. With the recyling option now in place, even worn and stained clothing can be used to raise money.
- Furniture. Again, some furniture items can actually be used on campus. Others are sold. All can make a difference.
- Knick-knacks and household items can be sold at the thrift store.
If you have these or other items to donate, or if you have questions about whether we could make use of an item you would like to give to Hope Harbor, just e-mail Shane McClaugherty at shane@hopeharborinc.org or call (918) 343-0003, ext. 226.
If you need a tax receipt for your gift, we can take care of that as well.
