Do the children maintain contact with their family?

Yes. Family involvement is a vital part of the Hope Harbor experience. Residents are encouraged to maintain regular and meaningful contact with family members. Contacts include mail, phone calls and personal visits. Resolution of presenting problems almost always involve the whole family unit. Family members are expected to participate in family counseling. Even in those cases where the resident will not be returning home, family contact is encouraged, unless prohibited by court order.
