Helping Hand Program:
Monthly
gifts are the backbone of the annual giving campaign. Many
of these donors choose the convenient option of monthly withdrawals
from their bank accounts. Helping Hand members receive a
special communique every month, providing them with up to
date news and information on student progress, events and
plans for the future;
Phone For Children Campaign:
In the spring,
over 100 volunteers solicit pledges of monthly or one time
gifts from donors and prospects. These volunteers achieved
new heights in 1999, with pledges exceeding $160,000;
Change For Children:
Every summer, participants
fill their coin bank with spare change, bills and checks
over a three month period. This is a great campaign for promoting
involvement of children in the role of helping others;
Memorial/Honor Gifts:
Memorial and honor
gifts are a great way to memorialize the loss of a loved
one or honor a special friend on their anniversary, birthday
or other special event. An acknowledgement letter is mailed
out the same day the gift is received. The gift is also acknowledged
in Hope Harbor's quarterly newsletter, the Beacon; You can
make your donation online
using our secure donation form,
OR click here
for a printable form that can be mailed to
us.
Appeal Letters:
Donors and prospects are
provided with a specific example of how Hope Harbor changes
the lives of "at risk" youth and are asked to make
a gift;
Commodities Program:
Nonperishable food,
household goods and cash donated by churches reduce Hope
Harbor's food costs by thirty percent. These goods are picked,
sorted and inventoried by volunteers. |
